How does PRIMITIVS work?
Every piece has a hole at the bottom so you can pile them on top of each other. The pieces called PRIMITIVS "originals" also have a "collar" that makes them both stackable and useable on their own as a candle holder. Other PRIMITIVS ("closed") are meant to be at the top or at the end of a constellation.
How can I use my PRIMITIVS?
Depending on what pieces you add to your collection you can either build different sculptures for your window, table or any other suitable spot. Or you can use your pieces to build candle constellations. We'll be adding more pieces with more customization options and functions soon, but overall the whole idea with PRIMITIVS is that it's a customizable art & design product. Just make it yours!
Why is there a small hole in the original-pieces?
We’ve prepared these pieces for upcoming features and it will all make sense in the future when we release more customization options and additional pieces.
Is there anywhere I can take a look at PRIMITIVS in any physical space?
At the moment no but we'd love to find spaces to collaborate with for a pop-up showroom and if you contact us we can make an arrangement to meet at our studio. Please let us know if you have any suggestions for a collaborative space.
How are PRIMITIVS made?
PRIMITIVS is made with new and innovative technology. Every piece get a 3D printed wax model that then melts inside another 3D-printed form. After being melted down it creates a mold in which the material is being poured, processed and finally gets its finish by hand before its ready.
In what way are PRIMITIVS a sustainable brand and product?
When we created PRIMITIVS we wanted from the very beginning to make something that was as sustainable as possible and that's something we thrive to be better at constantly. The way PRIMITIVS is designed (like a system with multiuse) is the main contribution to a sustainable way of decorating. Read more about our thoughts on this over at this page.
Why are’nt the pieces identical and totally smooth?
Every piece is made with its own mold and uniquely casted. This means it will always be small differences and not a totally smooth surface. It’s like the pieces are handmade but by a robots hand and then finished with a human touch. Every piece should though fit together and we make sure that they do that before we ship any piece that’s been ordered.
Where is PRIMITIVS produced?
At the moment all pieces are produced in the Netherlands and we only ship pieces to countries part of the EU (and UK).
Which payments options can I use?
You can pay with various credit cards. We use the STRIPE solution which means that if you have a VISA, Mastercard, American Express or Discover card you can pay with any of those. Or you can use your PAYPAL account as payment.
How long does it take for me to get my PRIMITIVS?
Our delivery time is approximately 6 weeks (+/- 1 week). This is because all PRIMITIVS are made on demand when ordered and to minimize environmental footprints we try to bundle up a few orders so that they can be shipped together to us at the same time. Let us know if you are in a hurry to get your pieces and we’ll make sure to get the manufacturing process going directly. If you’re able to pick-up your order at our studio in Stockholm you can get your pieces a little bit faster.
Which markets do you ship to?
At the moment you can buy PRIMITIVS if you’re located in a country that’s part of the EU. More specifically: Sweden, Finland, Denmark, Germany, United Kingdom, The Netherlands, Estonia, Lithuania, Latvia, Poland, Belgium, Luxembourg, Czech Republic, France, Spain, Austria, Ireland, Portugal, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Greece, Croatia, Italy, Hungary, Slovenia, Slovakia and Romania.
We'll be adding markets along the way, let us know if you're interested in being able to buy PRIMITIVS but can't at the moment.
I need to change my shipping address, how do I do that?
Send us an email at email@example.com and we’ll make sure your order gets to where you want it to be shipped.
Why do you only offer home delivery?
We want your experience with PRIMITIVS to be as good as possible and with that we think getting your pieces to your home is the most convenient delivery solution. Since we know that you might not be available during daytime all the time we’ve also made sure that you should get a notifications so you don’t have to stay at home and wait. We’ll be trying out DB Schenker as our delivery partner, let us know if there’s any problems with your delivery.
What happens if I'm not at home when the delivery arrives?
Then you can pick up your package at a terminal that you'll get the adress to. Your package will be waiting for you maximum 3 days. After that it will be shipped back to us.
Damage & returns
There’s been a damage in shipping, what do I do?
If you can see that the packaging has been damaged you need to report that as directly as possible. If you can tell the delivery person, take a photo of your package and don’t bring it anywhere (leave it in the hallway if possible) and contact us. Send us an email as soon as you can with the image and a description. We’ll get in contact with the delivery service and try to solve the problem as quick as we can.
What’s your return policy?
Since every PRIMITIVS piece is made specifically for you when ordered we aren’t able to offer any returns (as long as the piece hasn’t been damaged due to shipping).
